Positive Living Community Welfare Organisation Malaysia

The Positive Living Community, located in Batu Arang , in the state of Selangor, in Malaysia, provides shelter, tender loving care and treatment support to more than 80 persons (in 5 shelter homes) who have been rejected or made homeless due to:

• HIV & AIDS

• Drug or Alcohol addiction

• Human trafficking

They include patients who have developed psychiatric conditions or various forms of disabilities due to their addiction or their illness. They include about 30 Rohingya Muslim ‘boat people’ fleeing from persecution in Myanmar and who are suffering from temporary disability due to the harsh conditions they suffered under human traffickers disguised as agents. They have been referred by the UNHCR
