I went to see Dr Peter Wong Mee Tong on 14.3.19. He explained to me about stress test, angiogram and CT scan. He advised me to go for CT scan. He said CT scan had no risk while angiogram had and stress test though no risk but not accurate. I went for CT scan as advised by him. CT scan showed I had calcium score of 779. After CT scan Dr Wong didn’t see me but his nurse asked me to go back for a stress test next day. Next day today I went back for a stress test. It was done under direct supervision of Dr Wong. Stress test showed nothing wrong with my heart He then told me I had 779 calcium score from
my CT scan but the CT scan and stress test couldn’t show the percentage of the blockage except the angiogram. He further said the blockage could be 30% or 90%. My God as a cardiologist he knew CT scan and stress could never tell the percentage of blockade. Then why should he ask me to have a CT scan and then a stress test particularly he knew stress test was not accurate at all? He was just wasting my money and time and giving me unnecessary but stress aggravating my calcium level. He should advise me for angiogram.
