The cause of colorectal cancer is multifactorial, It is a result of the complex interactions between a person’s genetic susceptibility with environmental factors such as smoking, sedentary lifestyle, diet, obesity and alcohol just to name a few. Age is also a key factor and the older you get, the higher your risk of contracting this disease. This applies to not just colorectal but other types of cancers too.
