Dr Choong Yean Yaw

Dr Choong Yean Yaw, medical director of KPJ Centre for Sight, said many people were blinded by manageable diseases like cataract, simply because they had ignored the symptoms or discomfort for too long.

I did lasik at Centre For Sight, Kelana Jaya in Nov 2011. The fee was about RM 4000. Because my friend did it there, she recommended me to try it out. Just after surgery I had perfect clarity in my left eye but my right eye was still a bit blurr. The doctor, Dr Choong Yean Yaw, said it was normal. That my eye will take time to heal. After 1st check up, still the same. 2nd check up still the same. 3rd check up still the same. No improvements. Then the person who checked my eye said I can go for a "touch up", and I asked what that meant? How can you touch up an eye? And he said go for lasik again, and the price would be the same, RM 4000. I didn't go for it. So this year, my eyesight has started to recede back to when I was short sighted.
