Simple but clean huts with verandas, nicely arranged in a semi-circle with shady trees by the sea, reasonably priced, nice staff. A very good point to stay on perhentian if you can live without A/C and western comfort.

Enjoyed my stay, would book again at Coral View Resort if I am ever near the Perhentian Islands again. While booking they only had standard air conditioned room for us, and told us it would be a 5-7 minute walk to the beach. Not sure how slow people normally walk, but this was within 2 minutes while carrying all our luggage ;-). The rooms were basic, but good enough - cleaned daily. The beach has indeed a coral view, when you enter the sea loads of fish come check you out. If you don't like coral beach you can walk over to the next resort which has a 'normal' sand only beach and sea part (where you can spot sea turtles if you swim far enough).
