The mere mention of the word dentist sends shivers down my spine. I tend to easily associate pain, discomfort, and torture with dentists. Lets put it this way. They are not exactly the fairy Godmothers/fathers in my world. I used to squirm and shut my eyes in terror whenever I was forced to get onto the Chair of Doom so that the dentist could check my teeth for cavities and whatnot. Fortunately, given my utmost hesitancy to visit dentists, I had found a very comforting lady to be my dentist at Cheong & Chai Dental. This lady dentist is known as Dr. Chai and her husband is the other resident dentist known as Dr. Cheong. I have been going to Dr. Chai for years and she has always managed to calm my nerves and reassure me that it wouldnt hurt the way I imagine it would. Having my wisdom teeth removed was the most horrifying ordeal for me at the dentists. But, I was very much relieved to find that I really did not feel a thing when she was extracting my wisdom teeth out due to the numbing effect of the anesthetic injection. Ive also had braces done few years ago under the advice of Dr. Chai and am glad that I did. If youre interested in teeth alignment, you may consult with Dr. Chai as there are a few options available for consideration. She recently started employing a new modern technique of straightening teeth called Invisalign, which is a clear alternative to metal braces for adults, kids and teens. Over the years, I found myself no longer dreading to see the dentist. And it is all thanks to Dr. Chai who has been incredibly patient and comforting to me. If youre looking for a dentist in the Section 14 area, Id highly recommend Cheong & Chai Dental Clinic. Their dental clinic is located one floor above Bata, directly opposite Digital Mall. However, getting a parking in that area during the day can be a real pain. Youd probably be better off finding a parking in Jaya Shopping Centre and just walking over to the dental clinic.
