Tanjong Jara Resort

Stayed for four nights at this resort and it was wonderful! The theme of the resort is Unmistakably Malay and the buildings, activities and food centred around that. We were lucky enough that during the weekend, the resort held an outdoor event with stalls serving Malay food, massages, batik painting and games. They also had a monkey to pick the coconuts (for us to drink) and a young goat which the children could bottle-fed. Was told by the staff that this event is held every weekend with other activities such as nature trail, morning exercises being held every day. There was also a 'kompang' session held during breakfast. The room was superb - clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff was also friendly and helpful. We saw on a few occasions during breakfast that staff helped to entertain the children while their parents ate. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be coming back!

I just want to congratulate YTL Hotel and the management and staff of Tanjong Jara Resort for their unparalleled service standards that can only earn praise. May other hotels in Malaysia see you as the standard to go for in achieving true customer satisfaction. When the guest is happy, anything that goes wrong is forgivable. Having said that, you did not do anything wrong. In fact, you did everything right and my husband and I had a splendid, restful and romantic stay there. Thank you to Hamdan and his team at Di Atas Sungei, to Austin and the wonderful reception folks whom I sadly forgot their names. And to that friendly staff at Teratai Terrace who helped rush our lunch take aways.
