Submarine Guest House

As many others have said, the location is close to the light rail station (Pasadena seni) and the central market china town. There is also a great coffee shop (Lucy's) across the street and a seven 11 around the corner. The hostel is on the second floor on a small side street so there is no traffic noise. There is also the oldest Hindu temple in KL across the street. We stayed in a double room which was great for our needs air con and a fan and a TV and two lamps besides the overhead light. There is a restroom/shower area for males and females. There is only one toilet and one shower for each. Also, there is a kitchen area where you could prepare food. Around the hotel are restaurants of Malaysian and Indian influence with veg or non veg options. We stayed for five nights and I found the hostel to be a bit of a haven from the noise and bustle of the city, there is also a nice, large common area with ten chairs and big tables to hang out or do work, and the wifi is great. Go for it. Room Tip: I only know my experience with the private double, which was lovely.

This is for backpackers and solo travellers strictly no frills B&B style. Even the room with single bed has no built in showe / toilet, and TV with limited local channels. However, it is well located with the Pasar Seni LRT station and Chinatown just a short walk. Hence, given its relatively low rate, no fuss solo travelers may wish to consider staying at this joint.

Great atmosphere, staff is very friendly, room and facilities very clean. I would definitely recommend it
