Standard was established in 1993 with the mission of providing language-coaching services - especially in spoken communication for students from all walks of life. Since its establishment. Standard has grown from strength to strength.

Its clientele, apart from individual students, include the staff of many large and reputable corporate organisations such as Malayan Banking Bhd. Matsushita Electric Company (National Panasonic), Pantai Medical Centre, The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, PETRONAS, The Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM), Tan Chong Motors, EPSON Computer Trading, Bank of Tokyo etc.
