Excellent museum, because no staff here at all. As there is not staff here at all, most of the exhibition are not well maintained, and those flights are lack of explanation too. However, everyone can touch and feel (even sit inside) those flights, you can never been this close to those fighters compare to other museums. Here can be a great museum, but surely they need to put more effort in it.

I visited today, by car (so I can't comment on public transport to get there), but it was very disappointing. It really isn't a museum in the truest sense of the word, really just a collection of rusting planes that have been shown no care and attention at all. No staff on site, very little in the way of information. There appears to be no pride taken in the 'museum' at all. There is a chance to climb on board an old paratrooper transport plane (and even to sit in the cockpit) but it is really a very poor collection. If you are a plane 'nut' or have a particular connection with the Sungei Besi air base and you have plenty of time in KL you may wish to visit, but for the casual observer I wouldn't recommend it at all, particulalry if it involves a lengthy trip by public transport
