Serenity, friendly staffs, picturesque view, clean and cosy environment had undoubtedly made our 2D1N stay at the Little Hut a memorable and pleasant one. Strongly recommend other guests to settle your meals at the Little Hut as (almost) full set of cooking utensils are available. Although the road to the Little Hut is quite bumpy and challenging, it's totally worth it. P/S It's only a stone's throw away from Desa Cattle Farm.

I got lost looking for this homestay but the photo guides in fb helped. I loved the quietness and peacefulness of the homestay. It is simple but uniquely designed. I cooked throughout my 3 days stay as there isn't restaurants but there's small shops nearby, just walk down to the main road from the village.

After reading reviews of people who have been here, I finally went to visit during the school holidays with my family. Totally agree that the place is wonderful and the view in the morning is spectacular. However, I hope the owners be more caring about the well being of the resident pet cat, Miyao. She appeared in almost every review or blog I have read. Naturally shes like the hut's mascot! She just delivered 3 kittens and we found out that she actually had birthing difficulty which resulted 1 of her kitten died. We went to check the box where the kittens sleeps (near laundry area). Its definitely cold at night and it should be inside a room. There were only 1 piece of old towel in the box. The cat (Miyao) tummy is unusually big and we suspect she might have a dead kitten inside or growth. She also has a cat flu The caretaker clearly isnt sure about sending it to the vet. So we hope the owners of Little Hut will look into this and be compassionate owners. Please help the resident pet cat get well again. She brought much joy to visitors and luck to the owners too. Thanks

Stayed here from 27 28 june. We had a very nice stay with little hut owner's warm and helpful hospitality. During our stay here we do felt some ongoing earthquake tremor but we are not harmed, we are safe! The facilities in little hut and kampung mesilau remain intact and beautiful! Beautiful sunrise overlooking mountain kk, chilly weather and calm surrounding, we fell in love this place and we will definitely be back to this little beautiful place again! Thank You little Hut and cute meow meow

My very first time to stay at a homestay and it was indeed a very good experience. We were staying at the Bizza Hut which contained 2 queen bed and 1 sofa bed so basically it could fit in 5 persons and all of us could sleep comfortably. It was clean and the owner was thoughtful enough to prepare the indoor slippers for the guest as the floor could be icy cold at night. There was also hot pot available for rental, only RM10. However, the ingredients we had to buy ourselves. We drove to the market nearby to buy for the hotpot ingredients but not to worry about the flavoring. Check out the cabinet at the common area, there will have what you need.

At night, we had our hotpot dinner at the common area and we had the common area all by ourselves as we were the only guests there. It was nice to have the hotpot at outdoor as the temperature at night could be as low as 14 degree Celsius. After dinner, we took a stroll around the hut area and when we looked up to the sky, it was full of stars. It was amazing & breathtaking cause it's hard to find the night the sky full of stars in the big city where we live. There were some wooden chair outside for us to sit back and enjoy the starry night.

At Sabah, morning and night are earlier. I think at Kundasang it's even earlier. Around 6 in the morning the sun already shines bright so if you want to see the peak of mount kk, should you wake up earlier before the thick fog cover it. There are also a lot of beautiful flowers around the hut.

Tips:
1. do shower before the sunset or early of the night. As the water will be quite cooling at night even the water heater is on.
2. If you are driving there, please make sure your car is 1.5 or above, else it would be quite difficult to go up the hill as the location of the hut is at somewhere quite steep.

Highly recommend this homestay to anyone who is going to kundasang.
