Hospital Bukit Mertajam

My experience with BM Hospital has been very positive over the years. It started 4-5 years ago when I accompanied my father-in-law to the eye clinic for his eye problem. He had both his eye cataract surgery done in this hospital. Recently I had to accompany my wife to the ENT clinic due to some sinus and nose bleeding issue. I find the staff, nurse and doctors/specialist in both clinic and ward to be very helpful and patient despite the huge number of patients there on a daily basis. The specialists took the time to explain the issue in detail unlike the experience we had in private hospital where most doctors are very impatient or unwilling to share the details of diagnosis. For those who complain about the long wait, I can assure you the wait at private hospital is equally long. Bear in mind, public hospital is almost free in Malaysia (except for the minimal amount for registration). If we can get equally good nursing and medical care then there is no reason to complain. Just my opinion from my own experience.
