Epsom College in Malaysia (ECiM) is a new co educational school located at Bandar Enstek, south of Kuala Lumpur. The school is scheduled to open in September 2014 with an initial intake of 200 students for the first year. The school has an overall capacity of 1,550 students. Founded in the year 1855 in the town of Epsom, Surrey, the school's patron is Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. ECiM is the brainchild of the school's network of Old Epsomians here in Malaysia with Epsom College to bring the best of English education to Malaysia. The school places an emphasis on the fostering genuine understanding and cooperation between its community (the students & staff) and the wider communities through a sense of responsibility and commitment. Echoing the long and proud traditions of Epsom College, ECiM combines both the academic excellence of English education with a first class boarding experience in Malaysia. Teaching and Learning ECiM will offer the British National Curriculum with all teaching in English. With a systemic and comprehensive education plan from the early stage of Prep School to Senior School ( Year 7 to 13), students at Senior School will study IGCSE and A Levels. While Prep School will be centered around the New English Curriculum. With a dedicated and experienced staff of teachers, students at ECiM will benefit from the additional support structure of a Housemater/Mistress and a tutor who is assigned to monitor the academic and social progress of each individual student. Students will be placed in six different houses, which aims to foster a close knit sense of community and belonging for each student at ECiM. Facilities Over 3/5 of the 50 acre is developed with facilites. The school aims to provide an authentic and hollistic English boarding school experience for students. With the hallmark Bristish school house system, the boarding facilities in ECiM aim to provide all the necessary comforts for students. Each six houses are well equipped with modern amenities such as a communal TV room, kitchen and a laundry area. With the current capacity of 200 students, ECiM plans to expand more boarding facilities to accomodate more students at the school. The facilities at ECiM help to mould and nurture the minds of young students.
