Menurut Dr Sharifah Halimah, kesakitan semasa dalam proses bersalin yang tidak dikawal boleh meningkatkan tekanan pada ibu dan mereka menjadi lebih stres dan terganggu. Ini akan meningkatkan paras hormon stres di dalam darah ibu dan menggangu pengecutan rahim secara efisien. Akibatnya, ibu boleh mengalami prolonged labour iaitu kegagalan untuk pintu rahim terbuka mengikut jangka masa yang ditetapkan. Kemudian, ibu menjadi keletihan dan pasrah sehingga tidak mempunyai tenaga untuk meneran keluar bayi apabila pintu rahim sepenuhnya terbuka. Lebih lama bayi berada di dalam tulang pelvis, lebih tinggi risiko bayi untuk menjadi lemas atau tekanan.

Dr Sharifah Halimah. My sister delivered with her recently and very happy because she is very friendly and very caring. She is far cheaper than Dr Tokar. Previously she was from KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital..Ii highly recommend her..she speaks some mandarin too!

if youve been to a lota OBGYN you'll find that women OBGYN are less friendly,not compassionate enough and furthermore lack the magic soft touch. My dear Dr Sharifah is hard to find, has all the things you want in a lady doctor and the best thing was she treated me like a patient, where most doctors find that they would not do when treating another doctor.when we sit at the opposite side of the clinic, we want to be a patient and not a know-it-all. Dr Sharifah, though our visit was brief you were the best one i met. Thank you.
