I needed my gallbladder removed due to a huge gallstone that was causing me pain. Initially I went to see another doctor first but because he was on leave for more than two weeks, I decided I couldn't wait that long. I was reffered to Dr. Foo by another sjmc Dr that mentioned he was 'a man of few word but is really skilled with his hands' also nurses mentioned he was good, so that was really assurring as this would be my first surgery.

It was mentioned by the first Dr that because the stone was so big, he might not be able to achieve it through laparoscopy and therefore resulting to open surgery and that was scary. That Dr also mentioned he may have to make a bigger incision around my belly button. I was worried and it psychically and mentally agonising.

So all in all I was glad that Dr Foo took my case. He was confident from the start and did a great job. He managed it through laparoscopy and the incisions were small and healing process was quite quick. He's a great surgeon, but well in response to other comments, don't expect him to baby you but if you need to know anything just ask, he seems straight forward and does not like to waste time. My experience with him was pleasant overall but also generally I do a lot of my own research and ask nessesary ones.

Not punctual at all. Made patient wait for more than 1 hour. Attitude bad. Not caring or thorough. Did not get correct diagnosis either. Not recommended.

I was having a “gastric like pain” and diarrhea during my 5 days overseas tour. It lasted for a total of 10 days. Upon return, consulted normal GP twice. Not suspected anything amiss, I was prescribed with normal gastric medication. Decided to consult gastroenterologist at Subang Jaya Medical Centrer, Dr CK Ranjeev for endoscopy. However CT Scan was suggested by Dr CK Ranjeev due to tenderness at the lower right abdomen. Admitted on the late evening of 27Mac2018 and CT Scan result shown that I had a perforated appendix with abscess. I was referred to Dr. Foo Kin Keong, the General Surgeon for an immediate operation. Limited right hemicolectomy was performed by Dr. Foo. After the operation I stayed 6 days and discharged on 2 Apr 2018. Dr. Foo is a great surgeon and he has done a great job. Three months have passed and am recovering well.

I will never forget this doctor for the rest of my life. One night, I had immense pain on my left stomach area, and was admitted to the hospital immediately. Was brought to SJMC and they suspected it was appendicitis. I was referred to Dr. Foo Kin Keong, and I remembered telling him I do not think it was appendicitis as I did not have a lot of the symptoms of appendicitis and he replied, 'I'm the doctor, not you'. I was in so much pain, I did not want to argue with him. I was left in a private room and he said that he would perform a laparoscopic surgery on me the next day. As I stayed overnight in the hospital, I was in immense pain throughout the night. My operation was to be scheduled the next morning. When it was time for the operation, I wondered where the doctor was, and kept asking the nurses to call the doctor as I was, again in immense pain. 5 hours later, in pain and on the bed, Dr.Foo came to my room and yelled at me, 'WHY ASKED THE NURSE TO CALL ME SO MANY TIMES, YOU CANNOT WAIT IS IT?' I was shocked beyond words. This incident happened when I was around 19/20 years old. I did not reply him, and that night, my parents came, and Dr.Foo was really nice to them, talking to them in such a nice manner. I told my parents what really happened after that, and I insisted on another doctor. I was then referred to another doctor, a Malay female doctor named Dr. Siti. After my laparoscopy surgery, they found out that it wasn't appendicitis, according to Dr.Siti, I had too much of female hormones in my stomach area that caused the pain. I'm 28 years old now, and I have never forgotten Dr.Foo. Perhaps I was naïve back then, as I always thought doctors to be kind and caring, but turns out there will be doctors such as Dr.Foo, who is en epitome of horrible doctors out there, with a mean and nasty attitude.
