I was treated by Dr Chong Wei Min for Atypical Pneumonia and Sepsis associated with Viral Myocarditis. He explained that the heart can recuperate from 15 to 45 percent as there are innate self repair evolutionary systems in the body and he cautioned us on the indiscriminate use of Stem Cells. Can anyone explain the link between Stem Cells and Nose Cancer. Why is it dangerous to grow Stem cells like ale? Why should Stem Cells not be Cryogenically Frozen? Why are the prestigious postgraduate Cardiological degrees such as the FCPS Interventional Cardiology Bangladesh and Pakistan not recognized in Malaysia. Dr Chong Wei Min has advised me to seek advanced Cardiological treatment at the National Heart Center in Singapore instead of returning home. I wish that one day the health services in Malaysia will be as advanced as the elite centres in Bangladesh

Dr Chong Wei Min graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the Kasturba Medical College, in Karnataka with Gold Medals in Histopathology and Virology. Advanced clinical trials on Viral Vector based therapy were ongoing in 1989. He was a College Swimmer, long distance Runner and the President of the Chinese association which celebrates the Mooncake Festival. Dr WM Chong was part of the unique Bio-Engineering program ran conjointly with Prof Krishnamurthi PhD ( IIS ) and several other NATO Scientists from various Institutions who taught the select few in twice weekly Tutorials- designated Contact Sessions in MIT m, with experimental assignments, supervised project design and case studies ( involving several Khorana Scholars ) - in anticipation of the Human Genome Project. Dr Chong was mentored by the exceptional Clinician, Prof Kundaje was Cardiology Registrar to Prof S Dwivedi PhD ( BHU ) who pioneered the clinical trials of Terminale Arjunae as a novel antiarrthmic agent in 1988. Prof Dwivedi had arranged for Dr Chong to spend a major part of his Internship under the supervision of Prof Shatapathy MCh ( Mayo Clinic ) and Dr Urmila Swain DM,who trained an entire generation of new breed Interventional Cardiologists and Inventive Cardiac Surgeons ( such as Dr Devi Shetty and Dr A Shetty ). It is noteworthy that many of the meticulous cardiac surgical work invented by Prof Shatapathy by 1989 were ahead of its time such as the Modified Takeuchi Repair, and novel revascularisatuon techniques are only being replicated in advanced Tertiary Cardiac Centers. Dr Chong was unable to continue cardiological training in India as the Indian postgraduate Cardiological Subspeciality degrees had been derecognised by KKM. All iIndian doctors had to repeat their Internships year and Dr Chong was inserted into the Penang General Hospital where he was trained by in Internal Medicine by Tan Sri Ismail Merican, Dr Hooi Lai Ngoh and Dr Fan Kin Sang. Encouraged by Dr Hooi, Dr Chong Wei Min was awarded the British High Commisioner Award in Advanced Cardiology in 1990 to Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London at the Hammersmith Hospital Cyclotron Unit. The Royal Postgraduate Medicine School. Dr Chong won third place in the Goodwin Cardiology Prize, his 1990 for his Thesis : The use of Inotropes, IABP, Biodegradable Stents , Intracoronary Stem Cell infusion in prolonging life in Cardiogenic Shock as a bridge to Cardiac Transplant. Although the conditions of the Chevening Scholarship was 3 years, Dr Chong Wei Min was adviced by Sir Prof Zumla, Prof John Calam, Prof Humphrey Hodgson, and Prof Celia Oakley to compete in the NHS for the UMDS Guy’s St Thomas, Canterbury Cardiology , Internal Medicine Registrar Rotation as this was necessary for advancement to an NHS Consultant Interventional Cardiologist position at the Hammersmith. It was an Imperial College paradox because one had to be both a Scientist and a Specialist Doctor of Medicine with the ( Four Letter Word ) to lead the Team. It was a time before the EU and Hammersmith was the Mecca of Molecular Biology and Cardiolvascular Research. As the ACP RCP London for the Southern Region, Clinical training of the Southern Region was his responsibility, his KPI was the UMDS Guys St Thomas Canterbury - MRCP Pass Rate. This was important because the brightest Oxbridge Residents want to join Internal Medicine Programs with good training because the NHS paid everyone the same. Dr Chong was also the Adjunct Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine for St George’s Medical School

( United States Medical Board ). Everyone who has ever been trained by Dr Chong has always been asked to read the works of Sherlock Holmes and I had no idea it’s impact on me until I read his articles on the molecular biology of Hand Foot Mouth disease, Myocarditis and saw how he conducted his Contact Sessions with his Molecular Biology Team.

Dr Chong treated my dad with many multiple issues of old age. He carefully took his blood and send it for test. Subsequently he read the results and explained to my parents on the results. He was very detailed and gentle and he uses his phone to further substantiate his points on some medical research done by many professors. He prescribed the medication for my dad for every issue and he explained each medication and the purpose of the medication carefully to them. He even wrote them on a piece of paper so that they would not forget when he should take the medication and how many times a day. I find Dr Chong to be a very experience and friendly doctor.

I just moved to Seremban & had a medical situation. I saw Dr Chong as he was recommended by a friend from KL. As this was my first visit, he took the time to understand my condition. Although there were procedures (which I thought was unnecessary), he thoroughly explained them with such clarity. After a few days of medication, I am back to my old self.

Dr. Chong is THE ‘to-go-to’ doctor!

Someone has started spreading a malicious message, originating from FB under the Facebook account of “Shirly Ai Leng Shirly”, subsequently making serious negative allegations against SEHAT Healthcare Center. A Police report was lodged 3 days ago, and a detailed investigation revealed no such patient, no such incident, and the original FB account has disappeared. However, the picture has been linked to a disgruntled ex-employee of SEHAT who was recently terminated - Fitnah

The allegations made are completely untrue and this is serious for a professional doctor can be accused of and threatened to ruin the physician’s career and hospital/medical center’s reputation.

To those culprits who committed an offense with false accusations towards a professional doctor in the public and with the intention to sabotage a healthcare center, they will be charged once they're being identified. Let’s hope these culprits will get arrested and put in jail, and never get the chance to put other innocent physicians and organization through this terrible predicament.

Police investigation is still going in progress and hope the Anti Fake News Act will be applied to this case.
