Datuk Dr Abdul Aziz Yahya is a highly respected Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who trained at Princess Anne’s Hospital in Southampton, England and while there became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He then went on to train in the management of Gynaecological Oncology and is a renowned Gynaecological Oncologist who receives tertiary referrals from both his colleagues and peers both in Malaysia and regionally. His most recent interest is in Robotics – Assisted Gynaecological Surgery. He received his extensive training in South Korea and performed the first Robotic- Assisted Hysterectomy in Malaysia in 2009 and will soon be completing his 100th robotic- assisted surgery. He has been an executive board member of FIGO (headquater in London) since 2002 till present. He was the organising chairman of the very succesful XVIth FIGO World Congress in KL in 2006 and again appointed as the Congress Organising Chairman for the XXI FIGO World Congress that will be held in Vancouver Canada in October 2015. He was also the Past President of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia for 2 term.
