Dato Dr Musa supported Health Ministry's move to change the measles vaccination schedule, he believes that immunising infants with measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine at 9 months, followed by a 2nd dose at 12th month will ensure a wider coverage of immunity.

Amid the unfounded fear among parents against child vaccination, Dr Musa debunked the myth by certain parents that the MMR vaccine may cause autism is actually based on a fraudulent study and the doctor has been expelled. He also claimed that Malaysia has excellent immunisation programmer as the coverage of virtually all of our vaccines are in excess of 90 to 95 percent.
