The first school I went was Creative Hive. This is the school keeps popping out as a search result over the internet. It claims to be a Montessori school hence I check it out first. The principal was not around last week but I manage to speak to the assistant principal. I spent about 30 minutes there talking to Karen. The school physical premise is not that impressive, it’s just very simple and basic. The Montessori equipments look a little old and incomplete/limited. They were not arrange in a very bright and attractive order. Nevertheless I left my information with the teacher. I didn’t know the principal was expecting me on Friday. This morning she called and I dropped by the school again. Today is my 2nd visit to creative hive and I purposely went during school hour. The other day when I was there, it was school dismissal hour. (no more classes and left a few students waiting to go home) I had a very long chat with the principal. She’s a very chatty lady, in fact she kept talking so much that I hardly have time to go through all my questions ( but eventually I did) It’s a very small school with only 3 teachers and small class size too. The teachers are friendly and nice, the have the look that can easily draw children in. The principal really knows her stuff about Montessori , early childhood education and running kindies. But still I’m not totally convince this is the ideal school that I’m looking for. Something is missing …the gut feeling telling me it’s not totally a right choice…I don’t know what, but will still keep this school KIV and give further consideration.
