Water Watch Penang (WWP)

Water Watch Penang (WWP) is a non-profit organisation set up in November 1997 as part of the Sustainable Penang Initiative under the auspices of the Socio-economic & Environmental Research Institute (SERI) of Penang.

Objectives

Protecting, saving and conserving our water resources for future generations towards sustainable development.

Core Activities

• Publish and distribute water related information in articles, pamphlets, journals, periodicals and books.
• Promote public awareness by organising field trips, educational camps, seminars, forums, conferences, lectures and talks.
• Conduct research on water related topics.
• Liase with other societies dedicated to similar aims and objectives.
• Capacity building Promote partnerships by providing a link between government, water companies, NGOs and the public.
