The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa

Amazing service, really nice hotel and much to do in the vicinity. However, if all you want to do is lie on a pristine beach then this might not be your cup of tea. The beach is decent enough during high tide, although the water is not totally clean and during low tide it gets quite muddy. But the hotel more than makes up for it. Multiple really nice pools, really comfy room, a nice play area for kids, great views and yummy breakfast. The Brazilian barbq at sunset was a highlight and so was kayaking at the beach

We had the most wonderful time in Westin Langkawi. Booked a garden facing executive suite for 2 nights and a one bedroom villa for one night. Got upgraded to an ocean facing suite and ocean facing one bedroom villa at no extra cost (husband a starwood member) ! The suite was beautiful and spacious and had the most awesome views of the beach, sea, jetty and the pool! The villa was equally beautiful and had everything we needed a little kitchen, extra shower room and the pool was great. The kids could dive and splash around all they like. The staff was amazing everyone of them, the counter staff, the porters, buggy drivers, restaurant staff including the cleaners warm, friendly, helpful and hospitable and seemed to anticipate and know what you need. This wasn't our first time staying at the resort and we can't remember the staff being super nice and attentive last time we were there! The hotel is so close to the town but it is kind of nestled within its own quiet enclave, surrounded by tropical forests. The grounds are huge and well maintained. Don't be surprised if you come across any monkey feeding on the jungle fruits within the hotel ground! Breakfast can be very busy and crazy but we love the amazing range of fruit juices available, the food was good too. Overall, we've had the most wonderful holiday in Langkawi!
