Stars don't really encapsulate the peace I felt here. As an artist I can't think of a better place to write and meditate. I went accompanied, but definitely will come back alone as a kind of retreat (wonder if there's some kind of collaboration to be done here wink wink) The drive to the Dusun from KL was actually a welcome amount of time to build up anticipation for my stay there, and put some distance between us and the urban swarm that is KL.. I was warned that it'd be long, but it was just enough to feel like I was going on a road trip! The rooms are like mini-cabins and I really fell in love with the silence in the night, and showering outdoors was a definite plus. It's basically a mom n pop bed and breakfast built over years, literally dragging materials up the steep mountain that we drove up. Epic gate. The owners treated us to some Lychee? Pineapple? Jam and homebaked bread on our last night, and I'd kill for that recipe. Def be back, the rolling mist at night, the yoga hut, the deer, the pool, the staff are all real friendly, it's all a bit too good to be true. Makes you wanna stay. Would recommend for Urban types looking for a getaway off the beaten path with enough comfort to relax as soon as you get out of the car, the time in-between going on a holiday, and actually BEING in holiday mode is crucial and I felt immediately relaxed at the Dusun.
