Service very bad doctor very bad.not mannes. Speak to orang sakit very bad. Not a professional skills person. Now I'm asking my Lawyer To claims my medical fully under him. If he don't agree on its i will also claims my life claims under General hospital.

The largest hospital in Penang with a thousand beds and specialities in almost every field. Services could obviously improve but with budget constraints and under-investment things do not seem to be improving anytime soon. Drugs which were previously freely given are harder to come by now.

Quality: Horrible; doctors are cowardly and have the habit in pointing their finger to another, delaying medical case, making medical case more complicated, good at dramatizing their skills - very dangerous, avoid at all cost especially if critical case! If you ever hear news from word of mouth that GH quality is first class, that news was already long expired.

Friendliness: Very good at dramatizing, be really careful. Question smartly, don't let them take advantage of you!

Value for money: Even if it were free, if service is damaging, the value will be in the negatives.

Waiting Time: If you're not called after an unreasonable amount of time, ask the attendant at the counter. if they say 'not yet', wait for some time, then ask again. Keep asking till they acknowledge. If you never ask, you'll be waiting till forever. Oh, they also practice favouritism, so be wary of that as well.

Penang island no longer has doctors capable of holding their title well. If you ever encounter people praising doctors, then their cases are minor to mediocre. In other words, easy cases. So be very careful and smart when dealing with the medical people.

Promise to do the operation immediately when the deposit is paid. But ended up putting the patient without giving any food and water for one day. They should improve their management

Penang GH is very Lousy, appalling and so pathetic! My father was just admitted to ER for a horrible car accident where his face was bleeding and neck injured on Weds morning. The security guards were bloody rude and rough towards the patients and visitors. Waited from morning to night for the skin specialist to attend to the facial cuts and stitches. Then, the so-called orthopaedic specialist hasn't done anything from Weds until now! What the hell is the person doing? My dad is lying there without any diagnose. My father served the govt for all his life and this is what he gets for treatment! We don't expect first class service but when you see someone bleeding badly from an accident, the priority should be there first. I must stress this particular rude and unprofessional doctor Edwin Ong who has personal vendetta when we voiced our concerns to the head. He lashes back at the junior staffs and indirectly to the patient asking people to be discharge asap. What kind of lousy doctor is he?! He has no right to do so thinking because it's free but we tax payers are paying his salary. If he cannot handle some stress and told off by the boss..it's time for him to hand down the robe!

Pros: Very Good Services. Experience Doctors and Staffs. Cons: Very Limited Parking Spaces for Visitor.

Indian Women Security service rude!!Can't talking properly talk with us like own her money!Please take note of this!Thanks 印度女人保安态度超差!一点礼貌也没有, 讲话不会说好来, 好像我们欠了她几百万似的!印度同胞连问都不用问可以自行进出, 我们却要惨招她用不爽的语气对待!希望会改善!

I got shouted at when I called to ask if there's anyone there that could help with braces (at about 10.30pm) then they told me that to deserve the services of the dentist on call, I have to be classified as an emergency and they don't accept descriptions over phone, they feel that i have to make the 30km journey all the way there and risk being turned away because I don't meet their "criteria"? Shittiest service I've ever received

There is no air conditioning in the ward and the wards are crowded. therefore there is no space to even move
