Claim businessMaktab Rendah Sains MARA Batu Pahat (MRSM Batu Pahat) beroperasi sepenuhnya pada Mac 2002. Wujudnya MRSM Batu Pahat ini adalah atas usaha Datuk Ruhanie bin Hj Ahmad iaitu Ahli Parlimen Parit Sulong.
Majlis pecah tanah dan perletakan batu aras pembinaan MRSM ini telah disempurnakan pada 5 Oktober 1999 oleh Timbalan Perdana Menteri Malaysia, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
Bangunan yang berkelengkapan conventional ini adalah direka oleh Arkitek DZJ & Associate dan telah dibina oleh Syarikat Kontraktor Bakti Insani Sdn.Bhd.
