Claim businessThe Kuala Kubu Bharu sub-branch of the Divine Life Society (DLS) was established in 1994 under the chairmanship of Mr Siva Narayanasamy. In 1996, he started Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Sivananda, KKB, with just five children under its care.
Since then, about 150 orphans, underprivileged, needy or abandoned children have passed through its doors, each with their own tales of sorrow and hardship.
The Home aims to provide these children with adequate access to food, shelter, clothing and education. On a deeper note, the Home aims to prepare them for a better future by providing them with an opportunity to develop mentally, physically and spiritually.
The Children's Home is managed by a small team of elected volunteers committed to the welfare of the children.
The main sources of income available for the management of the home are:
- donations from members of the general public.
- a small annual grant from State Welfare Department.
