This hospital has improved over the years . Excellent service, efficient medical care givers. The nurses are so attentive. Toilets are so clean and nice. Only problem is this place should have more signage. It's a labyrinth in here. So many wards and departments. Most of the very good government specialists practice here.

Its a public hospital so understood the load of patient they need to cater especially with addition of foreigners and migrants who cant afford to pay for a private hospital. This is among the oldest hospital in the country hence why the building are also classic. But they already uplifted gradually the facilities and standards and the hospital houses many specialists and treated myriads of disease especially the rare ones.

Hospital Kuala Lumpur are fully equipped with sophisticated equipments and tools that are able to cure any kind of ills. But unfortunately, the staff took long hours to receive and entertain us.

But to be frank, last month my cousin sister had an appendix operation at HKL and the staff's had treated her very well especially the doctor's are very well trained and are so friendly. But i must admit that there are some rude nurses too in HKL. The price are also very cheap compare to private hospitals.

The only thing that HKL needs to improve is their time management. Otherwise, everything is just nice to visit HKL for any sickness.

It is almost impossible to get a car park that's within 100m of the department that you want to do, unless you reach there before 7am!

I just couldn't understand why do they have to split every small little things in so many departments, and each of them are like 100km away!

Anyway, can't complain with the fee coz its like free, just the energy that you will need to spend to deal with the people that looks like I owe them RM100k...

I accompanied my grand father to HKL specialist departments a few times. To be frank, the service here, including quality of the doctors, are even better than private hospitals, except for attitude of the nurse here.

Doctors here are surprisingly patient, my grandfather doesn't speak english and barely bahasa, but the doctor will wait for our translation and listen carefully, then ask more questions to clarify.

Although usually we have to wait for hours, but for the price that we pay and the quality of treatment that we get, I would think it is worth it.

I know many doesn't believe that government hospital is any good, but I'll say this: Dear Malaysians, open your eyes, try government hospital and see it for yourself!

My mother regularly did her check ups at HKL. She also had a minor surgery once at here. I cant remember the doctor's name that in charge during my mom's surgery but she was very nice and friendly. The only thing that i hate about HKL are the nurses. Most of them dont even know how to treat their patients properly, in fact they are so arrogant. Even though the price is very cheap and affordable for Malaysian citizens but they should treated their patients with manners.
