她指出，因穿上某种材质的衣服或配戴饰物所引起的痕痒、红肿，可能基於刺激性接触性皮肤炎（Irritant Contact Dermatitis）或过敏性接触性皮肤炎（Allergy Contact Dermatitis）。
此二种过敏统称为延迟性超敏反应（Delayedtype Hypersensitivity,DTH,TypeIV）。
