I have spinal stenosis. He was the first spine surgeon to tell me that spinal fusion should not be done one people under 60. I am still in my 40s. Before recommending surgery, he taught me several physio-exercises and asked me to do them many times every day. The exercises helped stop me from taking painkillers every day. But to be truly better, I do need surgery and he recommended the least invasive method possible. A truly empathetic surgeon.
