In 2007, Columbia Asia Puchong opened in Bandar Puteri, Puchong. This community hospital serves the suburban areas southwest of Kuala Lumpur. It is accessible easily from the neighborhoods of Sunway, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Cyberjaya and Kinrara.

Very slow. Went at 8.30pm on a Tuesday, waited 2.5 hours for my turn. Thirsty and went to the cafeteria want to buy a bottle of water, nobody at the counter. Saw a staff sitting at a corner but he said 'closed'. Try to find a water dispenser but don't have. The only water you can drink is from the vending machine which serves coffee, milo, etc. After body checking and go back, it's already 12midnight. The nurse and doctors are fine. Not rude. But the overall process is just too slow. I had heart palpitation for 3 hours but when it's my turn to do checking, i am already calm back and everything they check is back to normal (BP, ECG, listening to heartbeat). If only they are able to check me within 30mins they would have know what is wrong to me. Now they just conclude it is panic attack and not life threatening and ask me to go home to rest more and don't worry too much. Paid RM110 for a BP measurement, ECG screening, and a doctor consultation. Waited 2.5 hours, the process itself is less than 15min. Emergency or not emergency, I prefer not to choose columbia hospital as my first choice. Just too slow. Just my personal honest opinion. No harm intended.

Columbia is a community based hospital. The price charged by the hospital is attractive and below average. The parking is more convenient as it close to residential area. However, there are not too much specialists resides here. Some of the doctors are not stay for full day because may served other hospitals or clinic as well. Remember to call to check the doctor on duty.

Just to share my experience here, I have been going to Columbia Asia Puchong for my checkups with Dr Silvam, I agree with Swee Boon, Dr Silvam is a very friendly doctor to have and he shares alot of information and is always ready to answer any queries. One thing that Ive heard from all my other mummy friends are the time consuming checkups that they have experienced with other hospitals, Im glad I chose Columbia Asia Puchong because I didnt have to wait very long at all for my appointment! Lets say my appointment is scheduled at 10.45am, I will normally arrive around 10.35am and submit my appointment card to the front desk, proceed with the usual urine test, weight check and blood pressure check. That usually takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Once Im done with the tests, Ill just have to sit for no longer than 5 minutes and my name will be called! Normally my appointment ends within an hour from the time it starts so its very efficient I must say!
