I had a great time visiting Colmar Tropicale. I drove up from KL and enjoyed the cooler, cleaner air of Bukit Tinggi. The scenery is fantastic and I saw a lot of wildlife (dusky langurs, wild pigs, macaques). The hotel is fun; it is great for kids and charming for adults. Nearby, the Japanese garden and botanical garden are lovely. My room was well appointed with scalding hot water (I loved it!), cozy bed and all the best amenities. The staff was kind and attentive. The food is good though the breakfast buffet was so crowded that some of the food ran out and I could not find a seat. Fortunately, a family invited me to sit with them and I had a delightful breakfast.
